Pastor Carol Dantley
Overseer, Senior Co-Pastor
Pastor Carol Belton Dantley, M.Ed., a lifetime resident of Cincinnati, Ohio, serves as overseer of Christ Emmanuel Ministries with her husband, Bishop Michael E. Dantley, Ed.D.
For more than fifteen years, Pastor Carol was a teacher for the Princeton and Mt. Healthy Public School Districts. She received her undergraduate degree from Ohio University and a Master in Education from the University of Cincinnati. Pastor Carol possesses a unique ability to teach deep truths through simple illustrations that transcend generations.
Armed with natural and spiritual ability, a hunger to pursue God, and a love for His Word, Pastor Carol entered into full-time ministry as Christ Emmanuel’s Pastor of Christian Education in 1991. In this role, she developed a systematic curriculum to train and equip members to grow in their knowledge of and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ.
In 1995 she took the helm of what was once known as the Music Worship and Arts Ministry, now the Creative Arts Ministry. For years, her classical training in voice and piano and her love for worship helped to propel this multi-talented group into more varied modes of artistic expression that would convey the gospel of Jesus Christ.
In 1999 Pastor Carol assumed another foundational role in the development of Christ Emmanuel’s ministries: that of Principal of the Christ Emmanuel Christian Academy. She was able to bridge all of her learning experiences to offer “Education at a Higher Standard” to inner city children of diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
Pastor Carol B. Dantley’s love for God is imparted through a heart of mercy. She is the spiritually discerning ‘mother’ of the ministry, able to diagnose the spiritual condition and climate of the local church. She handles the sheep gently but speaks the truth in love to the parishioners. Her generous spirit and tender heart abound to her family, friends and to the Body of Christ.
Pastor Carol Belton Dantley and Bishop Michael E. Dantley will celebrate 48 years in ministry in June 2022. They are the proud parents of three children: Ryan Nichole DuPree (Sylvester); Cameron Michael (Andrea); and Jonathan Schuyler, and the proud grandparents of two grandchildren: Nicolas Michael DuPree and Evan Maxwell DuPree.
