Coronavirus Updates and CECF Operating Procedures

Dear Christ Emmanuel Family,
After very careful and prayerful consideration, the Elders, Co-Pastor Carol and I have decided not to bring us altogether for service on Sunday morning. We have made this decision because we want to do all we can to ensure the continued health and wellbeing of the Christ Emmanuel Family. At the same time, we want to make sure that we are doing our part, as the people of God, to comply with the Governor, the Mayor of the City of Cincinnati and the State and City Health Commissioners, to flatten the curve on the potential spread of COVID 19.
It is my continuous prayer that the Lord will cause this virus to cease and desist and in that process that our faith will fail not. I solicit you to pray this with me. It is especially in times like these that we must rely on the history we have all had with the Lord and to recall the many, many times he has rescued us, delivered us, healed us, kept us and carried us. And I believe that this current season we are going through will be no different. He knows the thoughts that He thinks toward us, thoughts of good and not of evil to bring us to hope and a future. We will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. We will see the goodness of the Lord in the land that is right now ravaged by the Coronovirus. We will see the goodness of the Lord as He brings us through the waters and the fire of this present-day challenge.
Though we will not physically come together on Sunday, my heart’s desire is for God’s people of Christ Emmanuel to still collectively praise and worship our God and to receive the word from the Lord that He has given and charged me to declare to His people. So we will live-stream the revised service through our webpage at TheChristEmmanuel.org. The service will begin at 10:00 with the praise team leading us in worship. Following a time of worship, I will then bring the Word of God. Only the musicians, the Worship Team and our technicians will be in the sanctuary.
During this season, our elders, other CECF leaders and I desire to remain in contact with you. If you need to reach any of us to share with us any challenges you are facing or to keep us up-to-date with any family matters that you need us to pray about, you may continue to call the church office, 513-242-5200, submit prayer requests on our website, contact your Life Group leaders or leave messages on the Christ Emmanuel Facebook page.
Please believe with me that we will come through this as more than conquerors. Our faith will be strengthened through this process and we will see the hand of God moving in the midst of all of this. I am calling on the God Watchers who will believe to see the manifestation of the Lord’s grace, mercy and benevolence.
In His Name,
Michael E. Dantley, Ed.D.
